BABY SHOWER FOOD: WHAT TO SERVE AND HOW TO SERVE

A baby shower is a traditional way of celebrating the arrival (or birth) of a new baby and welcoming him or her as a new member of the family. They can be hosted and organized by anybody, usually close friends or friends or relatives of the prospective parents. Once was considered inappropriate for family members to host baby showers (because they usually focus on the gifts), but today is fine for family members to help (and plan) them.

Baby showers are usually held a month or two before the date set by the mother (some cultures, however, considered bad luck to hold baby showers before the baby is born). They are intended not only to welcome the baby, but also to help expectant parents by giving them gifts they will need for the baby.

Planning a baby shower can be daunting. All it requires a lot of planning - from the guest list, the delivery of invitations, the decorations, the games, baby shower favors - and, especially, food.

Each party may not be without food, since they are regarded as one of the best parts or the highlight of a party. This applies to baby showers as well.

There are many types of foods that can help in baby showers. Some of them are:

• The bread sandwiches
· Dessert (cakes, cookies, ice cream, etc)
Chips or potatoes ·
· Pasta
· Feet (pizzas, etc)
· Salads
· Drinks (punch, juice, wine, etc)

Below is a list of several tips and guidelines on food ideas that surely will delight your guests and parents-to-be:

1. The baby shower food that you serve will largely depend on the time of day they take place. A baby shower to be held at noon or dinner usually requires a full "sit-down" food, while late or early evening showers can be done with appetizers, salads and sandwiches. In addition, the amount of food to prepare depends on the number of people who are invited.

2. Have multiple snack trays for serving different varieties of food - which can have one with an assortment of sandwiches, one with smoked turkey or chicken and other fresh vegetables served with a sauce that can be placed in the center of the tray.

3. Try to match food and keep them in line with the theme of baby shower (if any). You may consider the service of pastries and finger sandwiches if your baby shower theme is a tea party. Or, if you are a nursery rhyme-themed baby shower, cakes and pies that resemble the characters in the famous nursery rhyme (such as Humpty Dumpty deviled eggs).

4. Put some "life" food baby shower is going to serve. Instead of serving your fruit salad in a simple salad, try to present in a melon bowl (or better yet, a baby Transport server as a melon).

5. Decorate your food table tossing baby pacifier candies, chocolate bars and confetti everywhere.

6. Personalize your eating utensils. Match your colors with the color scheme of the whole party. Consider using disposable cups or plates for easy cleaning.

7. It is important to note the special diet of mother-to-be, so try not to serve food that the pregnant mother she would not eat. In addition to his allergies and food aversions, avoid the types of foods that are prone to poisoning and food contamination, such as soft cheeses, raw meat and alcohol (mostly).

By following these tips from the food, which will be able to get a successful (and memorable) baby shower.
